Here at Pleasley Hill and Ladybrook Children’s Centres we committed to ensuring children with disabilities have opportunities to attend play sessions and activities across both children’s centres. Parents of children with disabilities and special educational needs are very welcome to access services for their children and themselves. Staff and Volunteers have a range of qualifications, skills and experience working with children with disabilities and their parents. Each centre has a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) to support families who access any of the sessions delivered by the children’s centres. Accessibility into both centres is good, with level flooring, accessible parking spaces and toilets. If your child has moving and handling needs then please contact the centre to discuss these in detail prior to attending. Currently we are working closely with The IRIS Project, A Place To Call Our Own (APTCOO) and special schools in the area to continue to develop and grow our services for children with disabilities.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.
